Pricing:
Death Notices: These are notices specifically for Local Funeral Homes only. The death notice is to provide a public record which we consider an important community service. Information provided for the death notice will publish in a directory format and is limited to name of deceased, age, city or town of residence, date and month of death, one service date (ie. a Visitation OR Funeral but not both), time, and location, and funeral home name. A fee of $25.00 applies to death notices. No links, URLs, or websites can be placed in a death notice.
Obituary: The paid obituary is the family's tribute to their deceased loved one as well as a notice of memorial service details. It provides a vehicle to share stories and accomplishments of the deceased, major highlights, and family history. It may be as detailed or as brief as desired. As you are entering your obituary text, optional photo(s) and emblem(s) you will see the price to the right of the obituary preview. The price will update in real time as you enter or remove text, optional photo(s) and emblem(s). Adding additional publication dates will alter the price on the scheduling page. The price will update in real time as you add additional dates.
We reserve the right to edit, refuse, reject, or cancel any obituary at any time.
Deadlines:
On the scheduling page the most current edition will be available for selection. Due to holidays, weather events or other unforeseen circumstances that may change a deadline, we update our deadlines in real time.
Obituaries not submitted by a licensed funeral home will require verification of death. We will call to verify the passing with the contact you provide. The obituary will not publish without the verification of death from the funeral home or cremation society. If we are unable to verify the passing, we will contact you to reschedule the obituary or death notice for another publication day. Alternatively, you may email (email found on the Contact Us link) us a death certificate.
